Your cell
phone may be able to help you to unlock your vehicle.
It happens to the best of us. We become hurried, stressed or distracted and we lock our keys in our vehicle. Often, this scenario occurs when we are pressed for time or, inevitably, in inclement weather. Now we are left to call someone with a spare key or a locksmith, who will likely charge a steep price for a few seconds of work. However, these may not be your only options anymore. If you have a spare remote to your vehicle, you can unlock it using the remote and your cell phone.
Instructions
1. Call someone who has a spare remote to your vehicle. Be sure to use your cell phone to make the call.
2. Hold your cell phone about 1 foot away from your vehicle. Ask the person on the other end to hold the remote up to his phone and press the "unlock" button.
3. Check your doors to see if they are unlocked. If they aren't try the procedure again. If you are still locked out, you may have to use other methods of unlocking your vehicle, such as asking the person with the spare keys to drive them to you or call a locksmith. Although this technique works on some vehicles, it does not work on all models.
