You can unlock your SIM using your provider's default PIN.
Cell phones operate on subscriber identity module (SIM) cards. These cards are removable, transferable keys that contain unique serial numbers, and are usually under the phone's battery. They basically identify the phone's call number and its stored information, and have personal identification numbers (PINs) to prevent their unauthorized use.
Instructions
1. Find where to input your phone's SIM PIN. This is likely under the telephone's "Security Settings" or "Phone Settings," depending on the provider.
2. Input your provider's default PIN and press "OK." Most providers use either "1111" or "1234" as their default PIN.
3. Continue to input the default PIN until your phone tells you to enter your PUK (PIN unlock key) code.
4. Call your service provider and verify your account and request your PUK code.
5. Input the eight-digit PUK into your cell phone and press "OK."
6. Input a new four- to eight-digit PIN and press "OK." Follow your phone's instructions.
