Change The Home Screen On A Nokia E63

The Nokia E63 includes an option button on the home screen that allows you to toggle between two customizable home screens. The option allows people who use their handsets for work and home to switch between home screens suited to their lifestyle. The "Tools" menu provides access for editing the separate home screens. To toggle between the home screen edit menus, select "Switch Mode" at the top of the menu.


Instructions


1. Activate your Nokia E63 and select "Menu" from the home screen.


2. Select "Tools," then select "Modes."


3. Highlight the home screen mode that you want to edit and press "Select."


4. Select "Mode Name" in the menu to change the name of the home screen mode.


5. Select "Home Screen Applications" to change which applications are displayed on your home screen. The "Home Screen Applications" menu displays a list of your apps with check boxes, allowing you to quickly edit which applications are displayed.


6. Select "Application Shortcuts" to edit the applications that are featured in your home screen's shortcuts menu.


7. Select "Email Notifications" to edit the notifications for your email inbox. The "Email Notifications" menu allows you to configure your email account and how notifications are displayed.


8. Select "Theme" to select a theme for your home screen. The "Theme" menu includes color schemes such as "Dark," "Light," "Ultramarine Dark" and "Ruby Dark."


9. Select "Wallpaper" to assign an image for your home screen background. In order to change the background, you must already have an image or wallpaper stored on your handset.
