Install A Logitech Usb Headset

Install a Logitech USB Headset

Logitech manufactures a line of USB headsets that you can use with your PC to listen to sound and input audio. Logitech USB headsets are considered plug and play devices, meaning that the first time you plug the headset into a USB port the necessary drivers for the headset are automatically installed on your computer. After the initial installation, you simply plug the headset into an available USB port and the headset is ready to use. The Logitech USB headsets are compatible with all versions of Windows.

Instructions

1. Plug the headset into an available USB port on your PC. It does not matter if you plug in the headset when the computer is off or on. If the computer is off, you will need to turn it on, however, after inserting the headset into an available USB port.

2. Wait while Windows opens the "Add New Hardware Wizard." Click "OK" to install the necessary drivers. Windows will install the USB Composite Device driver and the USB Audio Device driver on all versions of Windows. Computers running Windows 2000 and Windows ME will also install the USB HID Device driver. Click "OK" to complete installation. The Logitech USB headset's installation is now complete and you can use the device.

3. Put the headset on. Most Logitech USB headset models have a volume and mute switch on the headset. Adjust the headset volume as needed. Your computer's sound is now heard on the Logitech USB headset and the headset's microphone is now your computer's default sound input device.
