Opening the battery cover on a Motorola MOTORAZR2 cell phone does not require any special tools, or a trip to your local cell phone store. All you have to do is place your cell phone face down, then press the back cover upwards, towards the top of the phone. Once it is removed, you will be able to either change the battery and the SIM card. This tutorial will show you remove the battery cover in less than a minute.
Instructions
1. Turn your phone over face down on a flat surface, such as a table or counter top. Clear the area of any surrounding objects to avoid accidentally hitting them when removing the cover.
2. Place both of your thumbs on the back cover of the cell phone. Rest your index fingers along the sides of the phone with mild pressure.
3. Press upwards with your thumbs so that the battery cover slides out of place, then lift it up and away from the phone. You can now either remove the battery or SIM card as desired.
