Remove A Commwarrior On A Nokia N72

The commwarrior is a worm-type of virus that infects cell phones running the Symbian OS platform. This worm causes the user to incur high data charges by sending Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages and also drains the phone's battery power by using its Bluetooth. It spreads via Bluetooth, MMS and memory card transfers. Phones running the Symbian OS platform, such as the Nokia N72, are susceptible to being infected by commwarrior. It's possible to get rid of commwarrior using a commwarrior removal application.

Instructions

1. Download the commwarrior virus removal application using your phone's browser (see Resources).

2. Run the downloaded file to install the application on your Nokia N72. Follow the on-screen installation instructions until the process is completed.

3. Start the installed commwarrior removal application on the phone. Choose the "Scan" button on the main screen to scan and remove the commwarrior on the N72.

4. Reboot the phone once the scan and removal process is complete.

5. Browse through your phone's folders and manually delete empty directories created by the virus. Press the "Menu" key and then select "Application Manager." Browse and select the original program file that infected the phone with virus by choosing "Options" and then "Remove."
