Often with Tracfone there are several opportunities to add bonus minutes just by entering a promotional or promo code. Finding and adding these extra minutes is quite easy and can end up saving you a lot of money in the long run.
Instructions
1. Find the bonus codes.These bonus codes, five digit numbers that add extra minutes to your phone, are easy to find. If you already have an active Tracfone you may receive text messages about recent promos and bonus codes. Many other bonus codes can be found online or by visiting the Tracfone website.
2. Buy minutes. You will need to buy minutes in order to add the bonus codes. Once you have purchased minutes (you will receive a 15-digit pin number) you need to add them to your phone.
3. Add the minutes first. Make sure you have the bonus code ready when you add your minutes. You can add the minutes and the code in three ways. Call their 1-800 number and a Tracfone customer service representative can add both minutes and the bonus code for you.(You will need to have your Tracfone serial number to add minutes and bonus codes via phone). Visiting the Tracfone website click on the "Add Airtime" button. This will bring you to a page that allows you to enter your airtime pin number and your bonus code number. You can also add the bonus code on your phone. Click the middle button, this will bring you to the screen that says "Prepaid". Scroll down until you get to "Redeem Airtime" and enter both codes without any spaces.
