Unlock A Nokia 3390

Nokia 3390 cell phone

The Nokia 3390 is an older AT&T phone that will no longer work on the AT&T network due to the phone's single 1,900MHz GSM (Global Systems for Mobile Communications) frequency. However the phone can still operate on the T-Mobile network in the United States and on various worldwide networks. Unlocking the Nokia 3390 can be accomplished with the help of cell phone unlocking services.

Instructions

1. Type "#06#" on your phone's keypad. The phone's IMEI number will be displayed. Write down the IMEI number.

2. Visit a trusted unlocking website. Two trusted sites that have been in business for years include Unlocking.com and GSMLiberty.net (see Resources). Various other unlocking sites can be found with a quick search for "Nokia 3390 unlock code" using your favorite search engine.

3. Find your phone on the site you choose by searching for the manufacturer "Nokia" and then the model number "3390."

4. Enter in your payment information, including a credit card number and, in some cases, an option for PayPal. Follow the on-screen payment directions. At some point you will be asked for your IMEI number. The correct IMEI number must be entered to receive the proper unlock code. After payment, your code will typically be emailed to you within 12 to 24 hours.

5. Example SIM card

Turn off your phone and remove the battery from the back of the device. Remove the SIM card from the phone (SIM card pictured).

6. Place the battery back in the phone and turn on the device. Wait 30 seconds and then enter in the unlock code provided by the unlocking service. If the phone shows "SIM Restriction Off" the unlock process has been completed successfully.
