This allows users to read and write emails from their Gmail accounts using the phone. To send and receive messages from your Gmail account with the Nokia 6120, you must first configure the settings for your incoming and outgoing mail servers.
Instructions
1. Select "Messaging" from the menu on your Nokia 6120 smartphone.
2. Locate the "Mailboxes" options on your phone. To access this option from within the "Messaging" area, select "Options," "Settings," "Email" and then "Mailboxes."
3. Select "Yes" when asked whether you want to configure your email settings on the Nokia 6120 phone.
4. Select "IMAP4."
5. Enter your name, email address, password and a description or nickname for your Gmail account in the appropriate fields.
6. Go to "Connection Settings" to define the settings for your incoming and outgoing email.
7. Type "imap.gmail.com" into the field for the incoming mail server. Select "SSL/TLS" for the security ports and define the port as "993."
8. Enter "smtp.gmail.com" in the field for the outgoing server. For the security port, enter "StartTLS" and type "587" as the port.
