Reset A Nokia N81

The Nokia N81 is a smartphone that was introduced in August 2007. The phone includes multimedia, email and Bluetooth support and it features dedicated gaming keys. Performing a reset on the phone will restore some of its settings to the original configuration. You may find it helpful to reset the device if you are experiencing issues and restarting the N81 doesn't restore functionality. A soft reset will not erase your documents, contacts or other data from your smartphone.

Instructions

1. Select "Menu" on the Nokia N81.

2. Select the "Settings and Phone" option from the main menu.

3. Select the "Phone Management" option from the "Settings and Phone" page that appears.

4. Select "Factory Settings" and then choose "Restore" from the next screen. You will be prompted for your lock code.

5. Enter your lock code into the prompt. By default, the lock code is "12345."

6. Wait as the phone resets itself. The device will then turn off and back on, indicating that the reset procedure is complete.
