Download data from your Nokia phone to a PC.
Cell phones aren't only used to make phone calls anymore. Now they are like mobile offices and contain our contacts, email, text messages, photographs and appointment calendars. With a Nokia cell phone, transferring this data from your phone to your PC is simple and takes only a few minutes.
Instructions
1. Install the Nokia software by inserting the CD-ROM into the computer's drive and following the instructions on the screen. If you don't have the software, go to the Nokia website and click on your model of phone to download. The program that Nokia uses is called "Ovi Suite" and is at the support section of their site (see Resources).
2. Connect your Nokia data sync cable to your phone. The cable normally comes packaged with your phone. If it don't have one, you can purchase the cable online (see Resources) or from your local computer and phone store.
3. Connect the other end of the sync cable to the USB port on your computer. Open the Ovi Suite application by clicking on the "Start" menu, then "File Menu" and "Sychronize Data." This will transfer the data from your Nokia to your PC.
