You can synchronize your BlackBerry Storm with the Outlook e-mail client to avoid manually entering your contacts, calendar and messages onto your smart phone. Use the BlackBerry Device Manager software included with your BlackBerry Storm to manage the synchronization process.
Instructions
1. Click "Start" and click "All Programs." Click on the "Blackberry Device Manager" option.
2. Insert the small end of the USB cable into the port on the side of the Storm and insert the other end into one of your computer's USB ports. The "No applications configured for synchronization" message should appear if this is the first time you are synching your Storm with your computer.
3. Click "OK" in the message and enter in your password if you have one. Click the "Synchronize" option in the left hand task bar and click "Synchronization." Select the items you want to sync (contacts, calendar, memo pad and tasks) and click "Next."
4. Click "Microsoft Outlook" and click "Next." Select the "Two Way Sync" option and click "Next." Leave the "Profiles" section empty and click "Next" to begin synchronizing your BlackBerry Storm with your Outlook account.
