Turn On Bluetooth On A Nokia N81

The Nokia N81 comes with built-in Bluetooth technology. Using Bluetooth, you can connect the phone to other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as other cell phones, computers, headsets and car kits. You can share images, music and sound clips, video clips and notes using Bluetooth. Enabling Bluetooth on the phone is easy. Remember to turn it off when you do not need it anymore. If you let it run in the background, it will consume more power, and, consequently, reduce the battery life of your cell phone, according to the Nokia N81 user's manual.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the phone's keypad.

2. Select "Tools."

3. Go to "Bluetooth." If you are opening the Bluetooth application for the first time, your phone will ask you to name your device. Type your name here to identify your phone.

4. Select "On" to turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.

5. Allow your device to be found by other Bluetooth devices, if desired. From the Bluetooth settings, select "Shown to all" in "My phone's visibility."

6. Turn off the Bluetooth after you have accomplished the task for which you turned on the Bluetooth. Go to "Tools" from the menu, and select "Bluetooth." Select "Off."
