Put a Different SIM Card in a Tracfone
TracFones are useful for many different reasons. They're pay-as-you-go phones, so you don't have to worry about an expensive bill coming when you can't afford it. And they don't require contracts, so there's no commitment. But as quickly as technology evolves in today's world, it's much easier to have a phone you can throw away when a new one comes along. That being said, you may not want to throw away all your phone numbers, text messages, etc. Thankfully, there's a way you can keep changing phones while holding onto your information.
Instructions
1. Take off the back part of your phone. Press a release button if necessary before trying to slide the back off.
2. Set your back cover aside and remove the battery. Turn the phone upside down and smack the battery side onto your palm if it doesn't come out right away.
3. Slide the SIM card out from underneath its metal bar. Check to see if there's a groove at the back of the card to make it easier to slide out. Set the old SIM card aside with your battery and back phone cover.
4. Slide your new SIM card into the old SIM card's spot with the gold metal facing down. Don't force it in if it doesn't go in at first. Try turning it and sliding it in the other way. Remember to keep the gold metal face down, though. Secure it into its final position by sliding it back and forth just a little bit until it doesn't move anymore.
5. Place the battery back into the phone and put the cover back on. Turn on your phone and your new SIM card has been installed.
