Transfer Nokia 6300 Data To A New Memory Card

Connect your Nokia 6300 to a computer and manage your data using the Nokia PC Suite.

The Nokia 6300 was released in late 2007, and its multimedia functions made it popular with younger users after its release. It features a color screen display and 7.8 MB of installed memory. With a memory capacity so small, many users will want to use the expansion slot for a MicroSD card to help expand the memory up to 2 GB. Transferring files to the memory card is simple.

Instructions

1. Remove the back cover of your phone and take out the battery pack.

2. Insert the MicroSD card into the available slot; the logo on the card must be facing up.

3. Replace the battery pack and back cover, then power on your phone.

4. Download and install Nokia PC Suite. If your phone came with a CD to install this program, insert it into your computer and run through the setup process. If not, a link can be found in the Resources section.

5. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable and select "Nokia Mode" on your phone screen. Nokia PC Suite will automatically open when the phone is connected.

6. Click on "File Manager," this will be located in the main menu of PC Suite.

7. Double click on "Phone Memory," then browse through your files and data.

8. Locate the what you want to transfer, click on and drag it into the "Memory Card" folder. These files will now be transferred to your memory card.
