Remove Simlock N95

The N95 is a model of cell phone manufactured by Nokia, a Finnish telecommunications company headquartered near the capital city of Helsinki. The N95 had two types of lock: a cell phone lock and a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) lock. The SIM lock blocks access to information like telephone numbers and text messages stored on the N95's SIM card. In order to remove the SIM lock, you will need to adjust the phone's settings. Please note that some SIM cards do not allow the deactivation of the SIM lock. Allow 5 minutes for this task.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button located to the left of the directional buttons.

2. Tap the downward arrow until "Tools" is selected and press down the center button to select.

3. Scroll to and select "Settings," "General," "Security," then "Phone and SIM Card."

4. Select "PIN Code Request" from the menu. Change the setting to "Off" using the arrow keys.

5. Enter your PIN code if requested.

6. Press the red "Hang Up/End" button to exit. The SIM lock is now removed.
