Pair a Wireless Bluetooth Headset With a PS3


The PlayStation 3 game console has plenty of online-enabled games in its library, which allow you play with friends both near and far. However, in order to get the most out of your online experience, voice chat is an essential feature. The PS3 features Bluetooth syncing capability, and pairing a Bluetooth-enabled headset with the console is simple and easy.


Instructions


1. Power on the PlayStation 3 and navigate to the "Settings" area (on the far left side of the XMB.) Then scroll down to the "Accessory Settings" icon and press the X button.


2. Select "Register Bluetooth Device" from the menu. You will see two options. Select "Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones".


3. Put your Bluetooth headset into Sync or Pairing mode. The process for this varies by headset manufacturer, so check your owner's manual for specific details.


4. Select "Start Scanning" from the screen while the headset is in pairing mode. You will be prompted to enter your Bluetooth headset's device code. Unless you have reset it, the code should be "0000". Press the X button after you have finished entering the code to continue.


5. Exit the Bluetooth settings menu by pressing the O button and then go to the "Audio Device" area. Change the "Input Device" and "Output Device" to the Bluetooth headset. Test the headset by saying a few words into the mic. You should see the audio levels on the screen fluctuate.
