A BlackBerry allows you to keep in touch with friends, family members and colleagues regardless of where you are. In the event that you aren't able to answer your phone, the BlackBerry's voicemail function is handy to have set up. Setting up voicemail on your BlackBerry is simple and quick, but make sure to do it in private so that you can record your greeting without background noise or distractions.
Instructions
1. Turn on your BlackBerry, then press "*86" and the green "Send" button to load the voicemail program.
2. Follow the prompts by pressing "4," then "3" to load the greeting function.
3. Type "1" to load the voicemail recorder. When you hear the prompt, say your desired greeting message into the phone, then press "#" to store and listen to the message. If you're not satisfied with the message, press the "*" key to start the process again. Listen to the new message, then press "#" if you're satisfied with it.
