Change My Call Barring Password On My Tmobile Dash

The T-Mobile Dash smartphone, which was manufactured by HTC and released in 2009, has a SIM card password feature that prevents others from making phone calls without your permission. The SIM card password works on the Dash or if the SIM card from your phone is inserted in another phone. You can change the SIM password from the default password selected by T-Mobile through the Dash's security settings.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" button, which is located to the left of the navigation buttons and has a house on it, to open the T-Mobile Dash home screen.

2. Push the left soft key under the word "Start." The left soft key has a "-" on it and is located above the "Home" button.

3. Press the down navigation button to highlight "Settings" and press the "Select" button, which is found in the middle of the navigation buttons.

4. Select "More," "Security" and "Change SIM PIN." The password prompt appears on the screen.

5. Enter your password using the phone's keypad. The default password on the T-Mobile Dash is 1234.

6. Select "New PIN" and enter the new password you want to use.

7. Highlight "Confirm New PIN." Press the "Select" button. Enter the new password and select "Done."
