Pair A Plantronics Bluetooth Headset

You'll only need to pair your phone and headset once.

With many states enforcing hands-free driving laws, a Bluetooth headset is practically a necessity. Plantronics is a popular brand that makes several styles of headsets that are compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled phones. If you have a Plantronics headset, setup is relatively easy. Connect your headset to a power outlet and charge fully before attempting to pair it with your phone. You'll also want to ensure your phone has some battery charge in order to complete the task.

Instructions

1. Power your wireless phone on and access your phone's Bluetooth options, typically located in "settings" or "tools."

2. With your headset powered off, press and hold the call or power button for several seconds. Release the button when the indicator light flashes red and blue. This will put the headset into pairing mode.

3. Select "Search" or "Add New Device" from your phone's Bluetooth menu. Allow the phone to search for nearby devices. Select the name of your Plantronics headset from the list the phone displays.

4. Use your phone's keypad to enter in "0000" when prompted for a pass code. Press "OK." You will receive a message informing you that pairing was successful.
