The Pantech Duo cell phone was designed with several security features to protect unauthorized use of the phone. The security features are controlled by a PIN number, which some refer to as a lock code. You may want to remove the lock code from the Pantech Duo if you believe another person knows the code. In order to remove the lock code from the Pantech Duo, you need to create a new lock code.
Instructions
1. Press the soft key under the word "Start" on the phone's keypad, and then "All Programs." The soft keys are the two buttons underneath the screen that perform the operation written above them.
2. Highlight "Settings" using the directional buttons and press the "OK" button, which is located in the center of the directional buttons.
3. Choose "Security" and then "Change PIN2" from the menu.
4. Input the current PIN in the "Old PIN" box using the phone's keypad.
5. Enter your new PIN in the "New PIN" box, and then again in the "Confirm New PIN" box.
6. Press the soft key under "Done" to save your new PIN.
