The Samsung T429 cell phone is complemented by the slider keypad design. The T429 features a VGA camera and video capabilities. The phonebook allows multiple numbers per contact with a capacity of 1,000 contacts. The photo caller ID and ringer ID allow you to personalize each individual contact. The SIM card that comes with the phone is unique to the phone and the provider. Unlocking the cell phone will allow you to choose a different provider and will require minimal steps to unlock.
Instructions
1. Turn the phone on, and enter "*#06#" on the keypad to retrieve your 15-digit international mobile equipment identification (IMEI) number. The IMEI will appear on the display.
2. Write down the IMEI number. This will be needed for purchasing the unlock code.
3. Visit the website of a reputable vendor to purchase the unlock code, such as Hyfeno.com, Cellunlocker.net, CellphoneOrb.com, UnlockItNow.com and CellphoneForums.net. Purchase the code, which will be emailed to you.
4. Turn on the phone without the SIM card. Enter "#7465625*638*CODE#. (CODE = your unlocked purchase code.) The phone screen should now read "Network Lock Deactivated" and your phone should automatically reboot.
