Get Photos Off Your Phone With A Bluetooth & Onto A Mac

Transfer photos from your mobile phone to your Mac via Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth feature on your mobile phone reduces the hassle of downloading a media manager to transfer your photos, because the technology wirelessly pairs your phone to your computer. Macintosh computers have a Bluetooth Setup Assistant that checks your nearby area for enabled devices and creates a media-transferring connection. The type of files that are transferable depends on the manufacturer of your cell phone. The benefit of Bluetooth over a direct USB connection is the ability to use multiple Bluetooth-enabled devices simultaneously rather than sacrifice one device over another because of limited available USB ports.

Instructions

1. Enable your phone's Bluetooth feature. Refer to the phone's user guide to enable the feature.

2. Click "System Preferences" on the Macintosh's dock located on the desktop, and click "Bluetooth."

3. Click "Discoverable" and "On."

4. Click "+" and click "Scan." Click the name of your mobile phone in the devices list and click "Continue."

5. Click "OK" or "Enter" on your mobile phone to accept the pairing request.

6. Open the photo library on your mobile phone and click "Send to Bluetooth," or the equivalent menu option.
