Remove The Battery From A Motorola Razr Cell Phone

Cell phone batteries have a limited life span, and there will come a time when your Motorola RAZR cell phone's battery won't hold its charge anymore. You will need to replace your old battery with a new one in order to keep your RAZR operating. Fortunately, new batteries are affordable and replacing the old one is a snap.

Instructions

1. Power down your RAZR. Flip open your phone. Press and hold the "end" key (the red button to the left) until it shuts down completely.

2. Close your phone and turn it over to the backside. Locate the hidden silver button at the top of the phone near the hinge in the middle. Press and hold while simultaneously pulling outward. This unlocks the back panel and gives you access to the battery.

3. Push downward slightly on the top of the battery nearest to the hinge of the phone to unlock the battery. Pull outward slightly. Remove the battery.

4. Look at where the battery connects to the phone. If there is any dirt or dust, blow on the phone or use a shot of compressed air to remove the dirt.

5. Install your new battery by repeating the above steps in reverse.
