Change The N95 Startup

You can change the startup of your N95 phone if you are tired of the normal Nokia startup. However, your phone has to be unlocked. Once the phone has already been unlocked, there will be additional features on the phone's software, and you can use that to change the startup of the N95.

Instructions

1. Run the CapsOff application on your N95. It can be found on the menu. It should be turned to "Caps Off" so you will be able to run unsigned applications, such as the different startups.

2. Go back to the menu and go to the file browser. Search for "Z:\resource\apps" and click it.

3. Search for the startup.mbm and the startup.mif on the list and click "Options." Copy the file and exit the folder. Go back to the file browser and look for "C:\resource\apps." In this folder, look for the startup.rXX file.

4. Press the number "8" on your keypad and you will see your view change into a hex file. From there, search for the 00050 file.

5. Change the number "00050" into "5A". The "5A" stands for the "Z" file up to the "C" file. Save your changes. Do not cancel it.

6. Go back to C:\resource\apps and look for the startup.mbm file.

7. Click on the file and once it has been confirmed, turn off your phone and turn it on again. You will see startup has already been changed from the usual "connecting people" logo of Nokia.
