Locking a phone prevents accidental calls, as well as unauthorized calls.
Cell phones are equipped with locking features to keep certain futures of the phone from being used. A keypad lock prevents pushing buttons, particularly if you store your phone in your pocket or purse. Some phones also allow for locking against calls. This lock prevents unauthorized users from making calls from your phone. The Nokia 3585i offers both locking options.
