The N95 Nokia phone is equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) feature. GPS gives you the ability to drive across town or around the country with peace of mind. It uses Global Packet Radio Services (GPRS) technology to determine your current location and give you the information you need to reach your destination with turn-by-turn directions, points of interest and detailed maps. Before using GPS on your Nokia N95 phone, it is important that you know activate it.
Instructions
1. Press the "Tools" option on your phone and navigate to "GPS Data" before you begin your trip.
2. Wait for the GPS device to lock on to your location. Your Nokia phone will report the coordinates of your current whereabouts.
3. Press the "Navigation" option. Press "Options" and then press "Set Destination."
4. Enter your destination, which can be either a specific address or a location such as the name of a town. Begin your trip. The GPS feature will give you the directions and coordinates. Press "Stop Navigation" to clear the data for your next trip.
5. Press "Trip Distance" and "Options." Select "Start" from the Options menu. Your phone will perform a trip calculation, giving you the estimated miles and driving time. Press "Stop" to terminate calculation mode.
