Disable A Pantech

Pantech is a multinational electronics corporation with headquarters in South Korea and Atlanta, Georgia. The company makes a range of cellular phones, some of which are available on the AT&T network. The best way to disable a Pantech cell phone is to enable a phone lock that requires a PIN code to be entered before the phone can be used. This lock is designed to prevent unauthorized access to the phone should it be lost or stolen.

Instructions

1. Enter the phone's menu. Scroll to the "Settings" menu.

2. Open the "Security" menu within the "Settings" menu.

3. Select "Device Lock." Choose "Prompt If Device Unused For" from the menu.

4. Specify an amount of time that must pass before the lock automatically activates.

5. Enter a pass code using the number keys. Be sure to write this code down and store it in a safe place.

6. Confirm the pass code by entering it a second time. Select "OK."

7. Select "Done." After the period of inactivity that you specified in Step 4 elapses, the phone will lock and become disabled. Unlock the phone by entering your pass code.
