Uninstall The Stopzilla Program

STOPzilla can be easily be uninstalled from your Windows system.


STOPzilla is an anti-spyware product that stays in the system memory and monitors your system for threats posed by malicious applications. In addition to guarding your Microsoft Windows system from spyware, it also monitors your web browser to intercept pop-up advertisements and blocks them from opening. You may wish to uninstall STOPzilla if your free trial has expired, you are changing anti-spyware solutions or you need system resources that it is consuming.


Instructions


1. Right-click the STOPzilla icon in the system tray. Select "Exit STOPzilla!" from the drop-down menu.


2. Close Internet Explorer, Firefox and any other browser you have open.


3. Open the Start menu by pressing the Windows key or clicking it on the task bar. Click "Run" if you are using Windows XP, or click on the search bar if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7.


4. Enter the text "AppWiz.cpl" without quotes and press enter. This will open the "Add/Remove Programs" window.


5. Select STOPzilla! from the program list and click "Remove." Windows 7 users should right-click the application's name and click "Remove."


6. Click "Next" at the uninstall dialog until it reports that it has finished uninstalling. STOPzilla is now uninstalled.
