You may register your Canon Powershot online or through the mail.
When you purchase a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS, you may register your product with Canon. Registering your product will allow you to receive any software or firmware updates and product recall information. Product registration also protects you in the event of theft or loss of the camera for insurance claims.
Instructions
1. Find the serial number on your Canon PowerShot camera, located on a small sticker on the bottom of the camera. Locate the camera receipt and note the date the camera was purchased.
2. Visit the Canon homepage, click on "Consumer and Home Office," then select "product registration." If you have a Canon account, login with your user ID and password. If not, click "register now."
3. Select "Digital Compact Cameras," then click on "PowerShot SD Series" and select "PowerShot SD1100 IS."
4. Complete the product registration form, including your current address, correct serial number, purchase date and email address. Choose whether you would like to receive software updates from Canon. You may also select whether you would like to be notified about future Canon products.
5. Fill out the optional survey after you have completed registration.
6. Complete the product registration card located in the Canon PowerShot box if you do not wish to register online.
