Compose Ringtones On A Nokia 1100 Using Composer

Compose Ringtones on a Nokia 1100 Using Composer

Nokia introduced the 1100 cell phone in 2003, but it's now discontinued. The phone has limited features and doesn't support MP3 format ringtones. The only supported ringer alert types are monophonic. You can download ringtones from the Internet or make them yourself using the phone's built in melody composer. Enjoy experimenting with different sounds and playing them back on the phone.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key (the large center key with a line on it), and press the arrow keys to scroll to menu option 10, which is "Extras." Press the "Select" key (which doubles as the "Menu" key).

2. Scroll down to "Composer" and press the "Select" key.

3. Enter notes to make your ringtone. For note C, press "1." Similarly, for notes D, E, F, G, A and B, press "2," "3," "4," "5," "6" and "7" respectively.

4. Press "0" if you want enter a "Pause."

5. Press "8" and "9" to shorten or lengthen a particular note.
