Take The Tmobile Vibrant Cover Off

The T-Mobile Vibrant -- manufactured by Samsung -- houses three major components under the back panel of the device: the battery, the SIM card and the memory card. If you find yourself needing to replace any of these components, you may be frustrated because the procedure to remove the cover is not obvious, and it may appear that forcing the cover off would break the plastic. In fact, the cover is designed to be pried away from the phone. You can access the internal latch for the cover through a small opening on the bottom of the device.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Power" button until the screen of the T-Mobile Vibrant displays a confirmation prompt.

2. Touch the "Power Off" button on the screen to turn the T-Mobile Vibrant off.

3. Rotate the phone so that the back faces you, and examine the bottom of the device until you locate a hole slightly larger than your fingernail.

4. Insert your fingernail into the hole and lift up, toward the back of the phone. This engages the release latch for the back cover, causing it to lift away from the T-Mobile Vibrant.
