Extract A Jar File From A Sis File

Software Installation Script, or SIS, is an archive file type for the Symbian OS and is used to install applications on any device running the Symbian OS, most notably Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The SIS file is a compressed file type that contains one or more files and may include a JAR file. A JAR file is a program or application written in the Java programming language. To extract and view a JAR file from a SIS file, you must have a program capable of reading the SIS file type. SISContents is a tool available for free and capable of extracting JAR files from SIS files.

Instructions

1. Download the SISContents tool.

2. Double-click the SISContents file from your computer to launch the tool.

3. Click "File" and select "Open." Select the SIS file you wish to extract the JAR file from and click "Open."

4. Click "File" and select "Extract."

5. Select "Extract as files" from the Extract window and click "OK." A list of all files, included in the JAR file, are extracted from the SIS package.
