Use Your Windows Mobile Phone To Connect To A Computer To Make Calls On Skype

You can make calls with Skype using your phone as a modem.


Your Windows Mobile phone can be used to connect your computer to the Internet through a shared connection. The methods of connecting to the Internet using your phone will vary depending on the type of device you have and your mobile service provider. This shared connection will allow you to make phone calls from your computer using Skype.


Instructions


Connecting to the Internet


1. Connect your USB cable to your phone and to an open USB slot on your computer.


2. Click "Internet Sharing" when the "Connect to PC" screen appears on your phone.


3. Select "Done" on your phone. The Internet sharing screen will open and automatically connect your computer to the Internet.


Calling Another Skype User


4. Open and log in to Skype from your computer.


5. Click the "Contacts" tab.


6. Select the person you want to call by clicking their name.


7. Click the green call button in the main window. The call button looks like a telephone and is located in the window to the left.


Calling a Mobile Phone


8. Open and log in to your Skype account.


9. Click the "Call Phones" option from bottom of the Skype screen.


10. Dial the number you wish to call in the "Call Any Number With Skype" window.


11. Click the green "Call" button to dial the number. The call button looks like a green telephone.
