Cell phones have come a long way from the standardized themes that used to be available. On the Nokia 5300, you have the option of customizing and modifying the phone according to your desires. Whether you use your much-loved snapshots or your favorite celebrity's pictures, themes give your phone a personal touch. Themes can be either downloaded from the Internet or created by you.
Instructions
1. Place the Nokia PC Suite disc, which came with the phone, into the CD-Rom drive of your computer. The program should automatically load, and installation instructions will appear onscreen.
2. Connect the USB cable from your phone to an empty USB port on your computer.
3. Open "My Computer" on your desktop by double-clicking the icon. On the next screen, you will find the "Nokia Phone Browser" icon. Clicking on this icon will allow you to see what is on the phone's memory card. From this menu, open "Themes Directory."
4. Find the source of the theme you wish to use, then copy and paste it into the phone's software. The source will be located wherever you either downloaded or created your new theme. You can find free themes on the Internet (see Resources).
5. Go to the "Settings" menu on your Nokia 5300 phone to find your theme and select it. You should now have your new theme on your phone.
