Unlock A Motorola T720 Att

The Motorola T720 is a dual-band Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM)-based cellular phone that was originally released in August 2002 and sold by AT&T Wireless in the United States. The phone was discontinued and is no longer in production. This basic, clamshell-style phone features a color display, a full email client, messaging and a speakerphone. AT&T Wireless, generally sold the Motorola T720 with a carrier lock that prevents using the phone with a non AT&T Wireless Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. To use this phone with a non AT&T Wireless SIM card, you will need to unlock the phone.

Instructions

1. Purchase a non AT&T SIM card from any GSM cellular service provider worldwide.

2. Remove the back cover and battery from the Motorola T720. Under the battery compartment, you will find the AT&T Wireless SIM card. Replace the SIM card with the new SIM card purchased in Step 1. Reinsert the battery into the phone and replace the back cover. Power on the Motorola T720.

3. Call AT&T Wireless customer service at 800-331-0500 and request the unlock code for your Motorola T720. AT&T Wireless will generally provide you with the unlock code for your phone free of charge if you have an active account in good standing. Alternatively, you can purchase the unlock code from a company that sells unlock codes for cellular telephones. Write down the unlock code.

4. Enter the unlock code using the keypad on your Motorola T720. Your phone is now unlocked and will work successfully with the new non AT&T SIM card.
