Set Up A Bluetooth Earpiece For A Verizon Wireless Phone

Connecting a Bluetooth headset to your Verizon phone is simple.


Verizon Wireless sells a number of phones with built-in Bluetooth capabilities. A Bluetooth-capable phone can be connected to a number of other Bluetooth-enabled electronic devices without using wires. Once of the most popular types of Bluetooth devices is a wireless headset, which allows users to talk on their mobile phones hands-free. If you've recently purchased a Bluetooth headset for your Verizon phone, setting the headset up to work with the phone only takes a few minutes.


Instructions


1. Power on your headset, and put the headset in "pairing mode." How you put a particular headset in pairing mode will vary from model to model. In most cases, it is done by pressing and holding down the power button for five seconds.


2. Go into the Bluetooth menu of your mobile phone and select "Search for new devices" from the available options. The Bluetooth menu is typically found under the "Settings" menu.


3. Select your headset from the list of devices that appears. Your phone will list all of the Bluetooth devices currently powered on in the vicinity.


4. Enter the pairing code for your headset when prompted. The pairing code is a series of number that identifies your headset to your phone. You can find the number for your headset on a sticker attached to the back of the headset or to its instruction booklet. if your headset does not have a pairing code, simply enter "0000."


5. Start using your headset with your Verizon phone. Your headset is now permanently paired with your phone and can be used to make and receive calls.
