3D N-Gage WWE Games
The only N-Gage WWE game available is the 3-D game entitled "WWE Aftershock." "WWE Aftershock" was first released for Nokia phones in February of 2005. The 3D game engine featured in the game resembles other WWE console titles like the "WWE Smackdown vs. Raw" series and WWE Aftershock was only released for N-Gage phones.
WWE Aftershock
The game features 10 playable wrestlers including John Cena, Triple H, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Edge, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. The game features the wrestler’s theme music as well as recreations of their actual entrances.
When a player defeats a battle royal match, WWE superstar Kane will be unlocked and the Big Show will be unlocked when a player wins a Royal Rumble match.
"WWE Aftershock" features several game modes including gauntlet matches, "I Quit" matches, No Holds Barred matches and a King of the Ring styled tournament mode. New players can set difficulty to easy as they get used to the game and increase the difficulty as their skills improve.
Multi-Player
Multiple players with the N-Gage game can play each other in matches through a Bluetooth connection. The move list is simplified for cell phone button mashing, as players use one button for punch and kick and another to grapple an opponent. Each wrestler has a separate selection of moves, including finishers like the "Chokeslam" or "619."
Players can open up a variety of different wrestling arenas by earning points when winning matches. These arenas include the Raw arena, Smackdown arena and various wrestling pay per view arenas like Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series.
Reviews
Even though this is the only wrestling game for the N-Gage device, it did not get favorable reviews from various websites. For example, GameFaqs.com gave the game a 5.7 out of 10, Cnet.com gives the game 2.5 stars out of 5 and Gamespot.com gives the game a 5.3 out of 10. The mixed reviews said that positives for the game included the animated introductions and audio for wrestler theme songs and sound effects.
