How do I Register an Apple iPod Touch?
Apple's online product registration allows you to register Apple products like the iPod Touch. If you have not registered it, you may see a message any time you connect it to iTunes. You are not required to register the device to use the warranty, but registration allows Apple to email you regarding software updates and other information.
Instructions
1. Go to the Apple Product Registration page.
2. Click on the "Create one" link if you do not already have an Apple ID. Follow the onscreen instructions to create an Apple ID and return to the Apple Product Registration page.
3. Set the pull-down menus to your location and preferred language. Enter your Apple ID and password in the text boxes. Press the "Continue" button.
4. Select the option to register a product and press "Continue." Click the "iPod" category and choose "iPod touch." Press "Continue."
5. Enter the serial number into the text box on the registration page. This is located on the back of the iPod. Adjust the pull-down menus to reflect your primary use for the iPod touch and your occupation. Press "Continue."
6. Review the information and press "Finish."
