Unlock A Blocked Nokia 2310

If you recently received your Nokia 2310 cell phone, your current wireless provider may have that phone locked to its network. This prevents you from switching wireless providers when you want to get out of a contract, or need to travel overseas. To unlock your phone, you need to ask your wireless provider for an unlock code. You will also need an International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number for the representative to generate the appropriate unlock code. Once unlocked, you may use another provider with a SIM card.

Instructions

1. Enter *#06# into your phone's keypad. Press the "Call" button, and write down the 15-digit IMEI number you receive.

2. Contact your wireless provider. Verify your account information and ask for an unlock code. Provide your phone's IMEI number and model number.

3. Turn off your phone. Remove the protective cover on the back of the phone and take out the battery. Remove the SIM card with your fingernail.

4. Replace the SIM card with one from another wireless provider. Reinsert the battery and place the protective cover back on.

5. Turn on your phone. Enter the unlock code when prompted. Your phone will say "SIM Restriction Off" and will restart.
