The Nokia N95 Won'T Send Text Messages

Text messaging is becoming an increasingly popular form of communication. With devices like the Nokia N95, which offers an expansive package of features, such usage is especially handy. Unfortunately, issues may develop over time that cause outgoing text messages to fail, necessitating some degree of troubleshooting to restore proper functionality.

Instructions

1. Turn your Nokia N95 off and then back on. Hold down the power button for several seconds to turn the N95 off. It is located on the top right side of the device. Press and hold the button down again to power the device up again. Attempt to send another text message to see if the issue has been resolved.

2. Initiate a soft reset on your N95. This will revert your settings back to their factory standard configuration, resolving any issues with settings that may have accidentally been changed prior to the issue developing. Do this by entering "*#7370#" from the home screen. The phone will then reset and turn itself off and back on automatically. Once it has fully powered up, test for resolution by attempting to send another text message.

3. Master clear your Nokia device. This process will completely purge the device of all data and install a new copy of the operating system. This restores any corrupted system files that may be contributing to the outgoing text messaging issue. Do this by inputting "*#7780#" from the home screen. The Nokia N95 will then reset itself again and power cycle automatically. Test again for resolution.

4. Call your carrier to discuss options for replacement or repair. Unfortunately, issues with internal hardware failure may be the source of the problem. Such issues cannot be resolved on your own.
