The Motorola RAZR offers plenty of features that cell phone users seek--including Java Games and a quad-band capability for global roaming. Because of this, making use of the phone's security features is one way to protect your mobile phone from falling into undesirable hands. The RAZR's security-setting feature allows you to enter lock and security codes. The phone will come with default lock and security codes--the six-digit security code is set originally to "000000," and the four-digit unlock code is originally set to the last four digits of your phone number. As soon as you get your new phone, change the security settings to something only you will know.
Instructions
1. Press the menu key (the key with a "-") to begin changing the security code on your RAZR.
2. Scroll to "Settings" using the navigational key, and select this option.
3. Scroll to "Security" and select this option.
4. Scroll to "New Passwords" and select this option.
5. Select the type of code you wish to change. In this case, select "Security code."
6. Enter your old six-digit code when prompted, and then enter the new code you want to change it to.
7. A confirmation that your security code was changed will display. If you forgot your old security code, contact your service provider.
