Your SIM card allows you to switch networks.
Unlock your Motorola 365 phone when you need to switch networks or want to use your phone overseas. Unlocking your phone gives you the ability to use a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. This SIM card lets you switch mobile providers, no matter what your reason is. Before attempting to unlock your Motorola phone, you need to obtain some information about it so your mobile provider can help you with the process.
Instructions
1. Turn off your Motorola phone. Remove the protective cover on the back of it.
2. Take out the battery and SIM card. Locate the International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number that is on the bottom of the battery. You will need this number for your mobile provider to generate an unlock code. Write down the IMEI number.
3. Replace the SIM card with one from your new mobile provider. Reinsert the battery and place the protective cover back on the phone.
4. Contact your mobile provider. Ask the representative for an unlock code. Provide your phone's model number and IMEI number. Write down the unlock code.
5. Turn on your phone. Enter the code into your phone. Your phone will restart and display the new network.
