Browse the Internet faster by turning your phone to text-only mode.
The Nokia 5230, a touchscreen phone, is found on a variety of networks, including AT&T. The Web browser of the cell phone allows you to navigate through any mobile-compatible website but may not work properly for Flash websites. If you wish to personalize the Web browser by changing bookmarks or turning off pop-ups, you can change the settings of the application using the "Options" menu.
Instructions
1. Click on the "Menu" button then press "Internet." At the next screen, press "Web."
2. Press the "Options" tab at the top-left of the screen. Select "Settings" to access settings.
3. Switch from graphics mode to text mode by selecting "Page," "Load Content" then "Text Only."
4. Turn pop-ups on or of off by pressing the "Options" menu then selecting "Web Page Options" then either "Block pop-ups" or "Allow pop-ups," depending on your preference.
5. Save a website as a bookmark by selecting "Web Page Options" from the options menu then pressing "Save as bookmark."
6. Click on the "Expand toolbar" logo to expand the size of the toolbar. Access the settings menu by clicking on the "Settings" icon that looks like a wrench.
7. Edit bookmarks by pressing "Options" then "Bookmark manager." You can remove old bookmarks, create a new homepage or re-order bookmarks using toolbar of the "Bookmark manager."
