A caller can leave voice mail when he can't get you on your cellphone.
You may want to check the voice mail on your cellphone while your cellphone is dead or out of service. It is possible to do just that. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T all have slightly different procedures for accessing voice mail from a different phone.
Instructions
1. Call your Verizon cellphone number from another phone. When you hear your greeting message, press "#." You will be prompted to enter your password. Enter your password to hear your voice messages. By default, the password is usually the last four numbers of your cellphone number.
2. Dial your Sprint cellphone number, and when you hear your voice mail message, press " *."
Enter your pass code, which by default is 1234 or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
3. Type in your 10-digit T-Mobile cellphone number and hit the " * " when you hear your voice message start playing. Type "9999" or the last four digits of your phone number to access your voice mail.
4. Dial your AT&T cellphone number and hit "9" when you hear your voice mail greeting. You will be asked for your password. Enter your password, which should be the last four numbers of your cellphone number.
