Remove A Nokia 5300 Faceplate

The Nokia 5300 can easily be modified to fit your personality

The 5300 is a popular model of cell phone from Nokia. This particular device features a full color LCD screen and a 1.3 mega-pixel camera. One unusual aspect of the 5300 is that it allows users to change the color and design of the phone by switching the phone's faceplate. Users who want to modify their Nokia 5300 to update it with their own personal style can do so in a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Remove the back cover of the Nokia 5300. To do this, simply locate the indented tab at the top of the back cover and push down to release the housing.

2. Disconnect the battery pack from the back of the phone. Pulling up on either of the top corners of the battery pack will easily dislodge it from the battery port.

3. Flip the phone over and wedge a thin object, such as a guitar pick or butter knife, into the side of the front cover. Run the object around the circumference of the front cover to loosen it. Once the cover is loosened, it will lift free from device and you can now replace it with your new faceplate.
