If someone gets access to the contents of your mobile phone, he could potentially view personal information, photos and passwords. To protect your privacy, Nokia has included a security feature on its 6280 model that, when activated, safeguards the contents of the phone by requiring the input of a security code. Using this code, the phone can be locked and unlocked in a few quick steps.
Instructions
Security Keyguard
1. Press any key to activate the backlight.
2. Select the "Unlock" option.
3. Select the "*" key.
4. Enter the user-generated personal security code, which is comprised of five to 10 digits. The default code is 12345. It can be changed by pressing "Menu" > "Settings" > "Security" > "Access Codes," then entering a new code.
Automatic Keyguard
5. Press any key to activate the backlight.
6. Select the "Unlock" option.
7. Select the "*" key within 1.5 seconds to unlock the phone.
