Many of today's mobile phones have become interactive, which means they include a world of multimedia applications in addition to the regular calling features. They have larger memory sizes to accommodate media files and many allow you to download and play back music wherever you go. The music files are in many different formats and can be downloaded from a PC in a simple process that is common for most phones.
Instructions
1. Connect your phone to the PC using the supplied USB cable. Your computer will automatically recognize the phone as a removal device. Click the Windows "Start" button. Click "My Computer." You should see your mobile phones icon listed together with other removal drives on your computer.
2. Double click the mobile phone's icon to open its hard drive. You should see the music folder. Double click the "Music" folder to open it. Locate the music file you want to upload to your mobile phone from the location you have it saved on your computer and right click it. Click "Copy." Different phone models support different music formats (e.g., MP3, WMA). You might need to refer to your phone's operating manual for the supported formats.
3. Go back to the "Music" folder and right click an empty spot. Click "Paste" to download the music file on your phone. To add additional music files, follow the same uploading process.
4. Close the "Music" folder when you are done downloading songs. Click the "Safely remove hardware" button located on the lower right on the system tray. Click your mobile phone's icon and click "Stop. A message pops up, stating it is safe to remove your device. Disconnect the mobile phone from the PC.
