Before using a new phone, install the SIM card and battery pack.
Getting a new phone is always cause for excitement, but you must first learn set it up and get it ready for use. The Nokia 3500 is a low-cost, stylish mobile phone. It has an alphanumeric keypad, features a built-in 2 megapixel camera and supports various formats of music.
Instructions
1. Push the button at the bottom of the phone to release the battery door, lift the battery door away from the phone and remove the battery.
2. Open the SIM card holder, slide the SIM card into the holder and close the SIM card holder. Open the memory card holder, insert your MicroSD card and close the memory card holder. The logo on both cards must be facing upwards.
3. Insert the battery, replace the battery cover and plug the charger into the bottom of the phone. The first time a phone is used, it requires a full charge.
4. Push and hold the power key on top of the phone; enter the PIN code if prompted on screen.
5. Press the menu button, open "Contacts," then select "Options" followed by "Add New Contact" to begin adding contacts to your device.
6. Dial a number and press the call key, or press the "Menu" key, open "Contacts," scroll to a contact and press the call key to initiate a phone call.
7. Press the "Menu" key and open "Messaging." Select "Create New Message" to compose and send a text message. Select "Inbox" to read you received messages, or "Sent" to read your sent messages.
8. Press the "Menu" key, open "Media" and select "Camera." Point the phone at the subject of your photo and press "Capture" to take a photo. Your photographs will be stored in the "Media" folder.
9. Press the "Menu" key, open "Media" and select "Music Player" to access a playable list of the songs stored on your device.
