Remove A Virus Without The Internet

Computer viruses and other malware can nestle into the hard drive of any unsuspecting computer and cause havoc on the operating system. It is extremely important to have up-to-date virus protection software. Without it, spyware could easily steal personal information, including financial accounts and numbers, and send them to another user through the Internet connection. But if a computer becomes infected with a virus, it's not the end of the world because it can be removed.

Instructions

1. Purchase anti-virus software from your local electronics or computer store. Two of the best and most popular names are "Norton Internet Security" and "McAfee Antivirus."

2. Download the software, then open it. Select "Perform Full System Scan." Make sure to select the entire hard drive. This process will take several minutes, depending on the size of the hard drive.

3. Click "Remove All Infected Files" when the scan is complete. The software will remove the infected files.
